YOU Learning
Every year at YOU is divided into three terms. Each term plays a significant role in contributing to the overall and balanced development of a child. Our focus lies on the 'Wheel Process of Learning' wherein a child is exposed to the Foundation Blocks of 'Your Own Understanding' in a three step process.
The first term of the year focuses on the individuality of each child. Here the focus lies on empowering each child with qualities such as self-confidence, self-awareness, self-motivation amongst others. The goal is to conclude the term with successfully placing each individual on a pedestal in order for them to understand and appreciate their own uniqueness before their interaction with other relations begin.
The second term of the year focuses on strengthening and fostering the relationships with those individuals the child interacts with on a daily basis. Here the focus lies on helping children understand relationships, enabling them to deal with various aspects of a relationship and assisting them with resolving conflicts and issues in relationships. The goal is to conclude the term with children being able to understand the beauty and importance of relationships with family, relatives, friends and colleagues.
The third term of the year focuses on demonstrating the importance of society and a child's place within this society. Here the focus lies on exposing children to the various individuals and situations they would face throughout their life and methods of tackling them. The goal is to conclude the term with increasing each child's awareness of the society they live in and the role they play in it.
Through this 'Wheel Process of Learning', we, step-by-step increase each child's understanding of themselves in order to give them a platform wherein they are confident and motivated to 'Make a Difference' in the lives of themselves, their relations and their society.
